According to a survey conducted by a leading national moving company, more Millennials moved to Dallas, TX than anywhere in the country, but that was followed closely by Chicago and then Denver. And many Millennials didn't move away for a job. In fact, among those who responded to the survey, 46% moved to a new area of the country in order to be with a partner or find love. Many others cited lifestyle concerns, such as restaurants or access to parks, as a major driver for why they moved.

This differs from conventional thinking that suggests people move because of school or a job. Instead, it appears that many Millennials are moving first before they may acquire full-time employment or enroll in school and are taking a chance that they'll find something once they get there. In some cases, this could mean being employed in a different field or taking a step back on the corporate ladder.
